Station Toki-No-Minamo is a sim-wide scenery of an imaginary railway on the sea. Objects with detailed textures express a metaphor of life, as the ever-lasting now between the past grief and the future hope. Everything you see in the sim is all shaped and drawn by me, which is a total mixture of mesh, default prims, and the sculpties. Japanese word "Toki-No-Minamo" literally means "Water surface of the time".
This work is still in progress.
Tears shedded among humans formed a pure ocean spread endlessly / Water reflects traveller's sorrow, time keeps standing still / Here is Toki-No-Minamo, between Yearnings and Memories / You're thinking of your life at a station in your mind
(Words of the station master.)
Welcome Area in SL11B was built as the avatar landing point of Second Life's 11th birthday event venue, which was a mass of 11 sims. This building was definitely designed to represent the event theme, "the empires of the future are the empires of the mind", that was originally a quote from Winston Churchill, but was meant to be the future of the virtual world. The modelling was done basically by an integral molding on an outer tool.

Many thanks to the Community, KT Syakumi, and the SL11B Staff, especially Doctor Gascoigne.
Cake Stage in SL10B was built for the 10th anniversary event of Second Life. Straddling over four regions, it hugely sat in the very center of the 22 event venue sims. This stage held a birthday cake on the top, and the stage itself also expressed a birthday cake of a big tree, as if all the Second Life residents had brought it up during the memorable 10 years. This build was done without any mesh by a requirement.

Lotus Stage in SL9B was built for Second Life's 9th Anniversary event as one of the large stages for live streaming music events. It was also consciously designed for the world map image to be captured as the figure of "9". The stage body, apart from the surrounding small lotuses, was completely made of the default primitives.

Tokyo Stage in BL09 was built for a Linden-sponsored inworld event "Burning Life 2009" which was the official online version of the famous annual festival "Burning Man". The stage was one of two large infrastructures specific to the virtual event. It was designed along a given subject, "fusion of biological and technological evolutions", and the build was done only with the default prims, except the sculpted humanoid in the huge cylinder.

Many thanks to the BL09 Staff, especially Talia Tokugawa and Dusty Linden, and Burners encouraged me in the Playa. Special thanks to Colemarie Soleil.
JIGOKU was a whole sim build of a vision of the Buddhist Hell. Various objects such as flame, ogres, and sinners were animated with some sound effects, so that the scenery of inferno was not only impressive but dynamic. The region was regarded as one of the uniquest virtual spaces at that time.
Everything you saw in the sim was all designed, built, and scripted by me.

Mesh objects. Some of these can be found in Second Life Marketplace.
Old things I had made personally before Second Life™ got mesh capability.
Donpatchy's sim is named sazare. It's a single private island region in the Second Life™ main grid. Sometimes it's a place to invite people, at other times it's a private sandbox.
sazare in Second Life Maps
Hundreds of people from all over the world gather in the virtual world today. I sometimes feel that the sense of values tend to be ruled by a way of thinking due to English language. At the same time, I cannot help feeling that my basic sensibility belongs to Japan in which I had been grown up. Whatever I try to make, as long as the person who makes is me, I have to face my fundamentals.
To be obedient to my small sensitivity, I named my small workplace sazare. I'm just a small existence, but I'd like to make something not small from here. ...May small pebbles create great things.
Large-scale works in this website, except things for JIGOKU, can be displayed in sazare almost automatically in a short time.
The region sazare was gone offline in 2020.
By recollecting the building of Lotus Stage in SL9B, done in an inworld event venue, considering characteristic aspects of the virtual world from a builder's point of view.

Having made observation of a landing point which I built as Welcome Area in SL11B, thinking about the way to consider avatars' body language.
Personal essay about why I'm hoping to make.
A short story like a comic using one of my own 3D object.

You may find another account named Donpatchy somewhere on the Net, but that has nothing to do with this Donpatchy. And the word "Donpatchy" was created by me when this SL account was born in 2007. I'm very sure that it's my original. I can still remind well about the time when I decided the spelling of "-tchy". Because it was the night just one year after the death of my father.
My private pages written in 日本語 (Japanese) are here.
You can get some of my things on a page in "Second Life Marketplace".
I used to have shops in some inworld places from time to time, but currently I don't have any, and I won't.
Some items are available only in Donpatchy.com.
